For us, a sports college is of course about sports, but also about community, friendships and experiences. At NIH you can choose from 50+ subjects, which span both sports and electives.
The stay is divided into two periods. In each period you choose 4 physical education subjects and 1 elective, so you can try many different things during your stay. All subjects are for you, regardless of level.
We have something for everyone, and you can participate in all subjects, regardless of level.
Besides sports subjects are there also general college subjects, such as: Take the floor, Community sports, Lectures, Current affairs, Electives, Singing lessons, etc.

WHO IS Nordjyllands
SPORTS COLLEGE?
Nordjyllands Idrætshøjskole is a sports college in Brønderslev for young people who want to combine sport, community, experiences and personal development. Here you can put together your own schedule from 50+ subjects and activities, and you can try your hand at everything from ball games, fitness and outdoor activities to creative electives and travel.
We have room for approximately 127 students, and most are between 18 and 30 years old. You don't have to be an elite athlete to attend NIH. The most important thing is that you want to be part of the community, try new things, and have a college stay filled with sports and experiences.

We accepted the invitation from Julemærkehjemmet Hobro, and today 50 students at Nordjyllands Idrætshøjskole showed up in handball shirts.
Because sports are also about what happens between us: participating, cheering each other on and finding friends in the community. 🙌

We love sports! 💙 And today we were allowed to try our hand at the world of sports when you have a disability.
Parasport Denmark stopped by and challenged us in everything from wheelchair sports to goalball and volleyball. ♿️🏐
And what an eye-opener! Because suddenly movements and techniques that are usually based on the spine had to be approached completely differently. New ways of moving, playing together and getting the ball into the goal😃
A super fun day with lots of competition and a whole new perspective on sports. 💙
