PRICES ON
SPORTS COLLEGE
At Nordjyllands Idrætshøjskole, we have chosen to divide our prices into the following categories: college stay, travel, paid subjects and support. The division makes it easier for you to get an overall overview of what your stay includes and what additional options may be added.
We reserve the right to change prices as some costs may vary. You will always be able to find the current and updated prices here on this page.
REGISTRATION PRICE
DKK 2.000 – Covers administration and enrollment at NIH.
MATERIAL PRICE:
NOK 4.000 – Covers NIH clothing, college songbook, free laundry and basic costs in various subjects.
Kr. 4.500 – from 1/1/2027
WEEKLY PRICE:
DKK 1875 – Covers tuition, board and lodging, and consumption.
DKK 1950 – from 1/1 – 2027
CONTINUATION PRICE
DKK 1400/unit. – if you continue for more than one period, the price will be reduced thereafter.
DKK 1475/unit. – from 1/1/2027
TOTAL PRICE
Spring (24 weeks) = DKK 49.000.
Autumn (19 weeks) = DKK 39.625.
From 1/1/2027
Spring (24 weeks) = 52.800.
Autumn (19 weeks) = 43.050.

HOW THE PAYMENT DECREASES
The payment for our stay is divided into three installments.
Rate 1/3: The registration fee (2.000 DKK) drops shortly after you register.
Rate 2/3: Payment for the first half of the stay. Charged approx. 2 months before start.
Rate 3/3: Last half of the stay. Charged approximately halfway through the stay.

Overview of subjects/activities with extra payment
There is a good opportunity to put together your college stay
with subjects without extra payment.
- Golf DKK 1.500 (covers tuition from a pro, course rental for 3,5 months, membership of Brønderslev Golf Club and DGU card)
- Ski instructor DKK 12.500 (2 extra ski trips with lessons and everything paid)
- Skiing/snowboarding – individual skills DKK 9.500 (2 extra ski trips with lessons and everything paid for)
- Extreme DKK 2.000 (covers, among other things, special activities outside the house).
- Parachute DKK 2.500
- Fitness instructor DKK 600 (covers compendium material)
- Surf DKK 1.000 (covers loan of wetsuit, boots and board + extra ride)
- Padel DKK 1.000 (covers court rental + extra driving)
OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUPPORT FOR COLLEGE STAY
Ungled
The Ungeløftet scholarship can be applied for by young people between the ages of 16-29 who have not completed a youth education and do not work more than 18 hours per week.
This amounts to 1170 DKK/week in 2026 and you can read more here.
Municipal support
Provided according to different rules in each municipality. Search for information in your own municipality.
Young people without a qualifying education
The state provides a special subsidy to young people under 25 who have not completed a qualifying education beyond the 10th grade.
If you belong to this group and have an education plan drawn up by your UU supervisor, there is an opportunity to become a mentor student. The weekly price is reduced by DKK 300 per week. Contact the college for further information.
Pitstop students
If you take a leave/break from your studies to attend a college, it is possible to have your price reduced by 300 DKK per week. Limited places. Contact the college for further information and your options for applying for the pitstop scheme.
Daily allowance
If you are under 25 years old and a member of an unemployment insurance fund, in some cases it is possible to receive 50% unemployment benefits during your stay at the university college. Contact your unemployment insurance fund and find out more.
Civilian education
Employees in the Danish Armed Forces have the opportunity to seek support through the Danish Armed Forces Personnel Service.
Faroese and Greenlandic students, weekly price
Discount of DKK 400 per week in all weeks.
Icelandic students, weekly price
Same as Danish students.
Norwegian students
Norwegian students can apply for support from the Loan Fund. Read more here.
For the information of the Danish Loan Fund, tuition costs constitute 70% of the tuition fee.
Individual support
The school may in special cases grant individual reductions in student fees to financially disadvantaged students. If you wish to apply for this, you must provide a brief description of your current financial situation and send it to us at [email protected]If you have your payment reduced, it is unfortunately not possible, based on the principle of fairness, to choose trips and subjects with extra payment. For students who do not participate in the trips, there is regular teaching at the school.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to get SUwhen you are in high school.
